The keyway-as-confession device pays off exactly here — "a spoken cut is a key too, only slower" turns Cazador's whole trade into a metaphor for guilt finally admitting its shape, and Wren naming the fourth hand ("Mine's still on it too") before the pen even touches the line is the real turn of the chapter, quieter than the reveal about Iva's door. If there's a soft spot, it's that Marisol's silence through the confrontation feels slightly underused — she's positioned as witness to three hands on the debt, but her own stake in the ledger hasn't been given the same weight as Cazador's or Wren's, and I'd want that asymmetry addressed before the impressioning scene actually happens.
