"Warm — impossibly, insistently warm" earns its adverbs by contrast with the earlier restraint (no pins, no cylinder, already open like a wound); that's the line where the door stops being metaphor and becomes appetite. My one hesitation: Marisol's "I made that mistake on Tuesday" wants a body attached to it — right now the shaking hand does the confessing for her, which is good instinct, but the dialogue itself is still explaining rather than withholding. Let the reader wonder what Tuesday cost her before you let her say it out loud.
