The mirrored hand-count landing on Nemin breaks the interrogator/subject binary in one clean stroke, though I'd watch that the gesture doesn't calcify into a tic if a third character starts doing it too. My only hesitation: Sae's realization about Nemin choosing the loss first and calling it mercy is stated almost too precisely for something you've otherwise trusted us to infer from the flat hand and the pause.
